Visit by Umi & Alex + day trip to Yorkshire

Want to know more about York?? How about spending 1 hour (appx.) on a hop-on hop-off bus listening to history lecture? Sounds boring? Well, it turns out to be quite entertaining actually... Do you know Queen E would never step her foot on York again due to some disturbance she had when having lunch during a train stop at York? How about.. the Duke of York was beheaded in the public? (can't remember which one though..) Oh, oh.. and York is the home to the National Railway Museum, supposedly with over 100 locomotives on display (cant verify this as we didnt visit the museum).
If you're not into history (castles, cathederal and that kind of stuff), then just head straight to York Designer Outler for some serious shopping... Do come and visit York!!

Edinburgh & Glasgow, Scotland
|
|
Had a family trip to Edinburgh and Glasgow during last weekend. Arrived at Edinburgh around 8pm. Had our dinner at "Kebab Mahal" (just a normal kebab restaurant) and had our stay at Travelodge Edinburgh. Next day, pusing2 Edinburgh and visit the Edinburgh Castle before drive up to Glasgow....
By end of day, we had our journey back to Durham..
